Meg Lavery recently joined MSI as a technical director in the peace and stability service area. Prior to joining MSI, Meg worked at the Department of State’s Bureau of Counterterrorism and Countering Violent Extremism where she managed CT and CVE programs in East Africa. Meg brings 11 years of program management and peacebuilding experience working in diverse, conflict-affected communities in Northern Ireland, East Africa, and with refugee groups. She holds a master’s degree in conflict resolution from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University. Meg and her husband live in Northeast D.C. with their goldendoodle, Merlin, who is the size of a small horse.
