Aekta Desai is a technical manager with more than ten years of experience in project management and business development, including five years managing USAID-funded rule of law and justice sector reform projects in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Asia and the Caribbean. In her current role, Aekta supports projects and business development efforts in MSI’s rule of law and government accountability practice area. She has led capacity building for civil society organizations in Ethiopia, Mali, Myanmar and Uganda and brings substantial field experience from her previous positions at Save the Children, Tetra Tech DPK, and Chemonics International. Aekta holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in international policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
