Keith Brown is currently MSI’s president, only the second such individual to serve in that role since our founding. He took the helm from founder Larry Cooley in 2015. Keith served in a number of leadership positions over his two decade plus career with MSI, including as MSI’s senior vice president. In that role, he was responsible for overall technical direction in strategic planning, performance measurement, organizational assessment, evaluation and research. He has also provided oversight to MSI’s work in economic growth, education, environment, public sector management and health. Keith served as chief of party on a USAID-funded project in Washington, D.C., and held the position of senior monitoring and evaluation advisor to USAID/Kenya. His country and regional experience includes Latin America, Africa, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, the Near East and the Balkans. He holds a master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in government and economics from St. Lawrence University.
