Supporting Learning and Training at USAID

Training to enhance the quality and effectiveness of DG strategies and programs

We are supporting USAID’s Bureau for Democracy, Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance (DCHA) Office of Program, Policy and Management (PPM) as part of the Agency’s overall learning agenda.

Together with our partner, Encompass, we will strengthen the capacity and organizational effectiveness of DCHA staff to lead and manage the design, implementation and evaluation of program activities worldwide.

Our team will design and deliver organizational and professional development activities, including blended learning, organizational change support and performance management support. This work builds on our decades of assistance to the DCHA Bureau, including implementation of the DCHA/DRG Training and Information Management (Outreach) Support project.

Our work on that project directly contributed to DCHA/DG’s mission of providing information and training to enhance the quality and effectiveness of DG strategies and programs, both in the field and in Washington, D.C. Through in-person and e-learning trainings, over 1,400 staff were trained and an additional 2,600 participated in learning events.

As part of our new work, we will adapt and respond and quickly to changing organizational needs, as USAID’s current organizational redesign process matures.
