In the span of a few months, the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted many facets of political, economic, and social life around the globe, posing challenges for every region, country, and community. Among its many impacts, the virus has threatened the delivery of humanitarian and development assistance.

Our Strategy, Evaluation, and Monitoring team has developed this user-friendly infographic to help explain how we are adapting the monitoring of development assistance delivery.  Our adaptations include an emphasis on the rights and safety of field staff and adapting approaches to sample selection, monitoring instruments, and overall field research practices to meet monitoring requirements while minimizing risks to field staff and those with whom they interact.

This more extensive white paper includes examples of adapted practices that can help protect monitors, communities, and beneficiaries. We currently implement these practices on our third-party monitoring projects.
