MSI Welcomes Tomas Bridle, New Government Accountability and Transparency Practice Area Lead

MSI, A Tetra Tech Company, is proud to welcome Tomas Bridle as its new Government Accountability and Transparency Practice Area Lead. Tomas brings deep experience to MSI, having worked inside government as a former Senate and Congressional staffer and alongside governments, private sector and non-profit organizations as an advisor to USAID and consultant for over 25 years.

In the role of practice area lead for Government Accountability and Transparency, Tomas will be responsible for driving market and business development while overseeing the technical implementation of MSI’s governance and anti-corruption portfolio. As a senior leader within MSI’s Democracy, Governance, and Conflict sector, Tomas will work with his colleagues to ensure the practice area continues to be innovative, responsive to core client needs, and associated with technical excellence.

Allison Poyac-Clarkin, MSI’s Senior Vice President for Programs, leads MSI’s work in democracy and governance, peacebuilding, and rule of law and government accountability. She expressed her enthusiasm about Tomas and the MSI team rising to face current and looming development challenges. “It’s an exciting time to have Tomas join the team. As we see a surge in authoritarianism and corruption in many countries, Tomas will play a pivotal role in positioning MSI to offer clients an integrated set of innovative tools and approaches to promote good governance, establish the rule of law and help citizens and governments fight corruption,” said Poyac-Clarkin.

Tomas Bridle is a veteran of international development and has held prestigious assignments in some of the world’s most complex environments, including in Azerbaijan, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, and Pakistan. His former positions include senior roles for leading development firms, including Chemonics, DAI, National Democratic Institute (NDI), and co-chair of the Society for International Development-US Chapter’s (SID-US) workgroup on Governance, Anti-Corruption and Rule of Law. He is an adjunct professor at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs where he teaches a graduate-level course on democracy and governance in international development.

“This is an exciting time to be working on governance and accountability issues, with innovative ideas coming from projects and partners around the world, and a new DRG Policy and DRG Bureau at USAID. I’m looking forward to contributing to and building on MSI’s well-deserved reputation for technical excellence and effective project implementation in this sector,” said Tomas.
